The creative director, Sheila Lukwanzi attended International Fashion Academy (IFAParis) where she was honoured with a Bachelors’ degree in Fashion Design and Technology in June 2015. This young Ugandan fashion designer has worked before as a studio assistant for Emanuel Ungaro in Paris and Gloria Wavamunno in Kampala where she assisted in the preparations for the first ever Kampala Fashion Week in 2014. She discovered her signature style while at the university and she continues to portray her attention to asymmetric cuts in her collections.
Having lived in Paris for three years, Sheila refers to it as the “prime of her life.” After attaining first-class skills, she returned home to boost the fast growing fashion industry in Africa, starting with her capital, Kampala. She continues to travel widely in search of inspirations and because of this she has mastered the art of combining various cultures and her patchwork of ideas is clearly expressed in her collections.
